Here are links for two resources where one could get some inexpensive educational materials and spend way too much money if not careful:)
http://www.sciplus.com/ -all kinds of interesting and nifty and unusual things for science, etc
http://www.orientaltrading.com/ - lots of crafting supplies and other interesting educational stuff like inflatable hearts and felt skeleton boards and counting and pattern tiles, 3-D geometric solids, etc. Probably not top quality but cheap and might do the job anyway.
